Endorsements
for the Sport Dimensions Approach
Roger Taylor - LTA Davis Cup Captain
Dear
Mike,
I just wanted to say thank you for doing such a tremendous job
in getting Tim Henman fit to play in
the Davis Cup Match against Thailand. I honestly wouldn't have thought it was possible especially knowing how badly Tim was injured when you took charge of him.
British Tennis certainly owes you a big "thank you".
Colin Bryce - Great Britain Bobsleigh Team
I
spent 16 weeks training for the Winter Olympics with the Frappier
Acceleration Programme at Sport Dimensions and I was running faster
than at any time before.
Disaster struck on
the 30th of August, during a bobsleigh run I broke my ankle. I thought
my chance of making the Olympic Squad were gone. I left hospital
on September 1st with nine metal screws and a six inch plate in my
foot, with the surgeons words in my ears, "you will be lucky to walk
by Christmas".
After a few days of feeling sorry for myself, I hobbled to the
Gym, crutches and cast, and hit the weights. After a second operation
to remove the screws, there were just 10 weeks to the Olympic trials
in December. I turned to Mike Antoniades and Sport Dimensions to try and get
me fit.
We spent the first three weeks teaching me to walk again, doing
a lot of back pedal and forward walking. It was a slow and painful
process and it took four weeks before I could start running. I made
the Olympic Trials in December and beat two other members to make
the Olympic team.
I would never have made it on my own, the dedication and encouragement
by Mike and the coaches at Sport Dimensions pulled me through. I
am now stronger and faster than I was before the accident. I whole
heartily recommend Sport Dimensions to anyone who wants to get faster
and stronger.
Tracey Smedley - Over
35 1500m World Champion
After being injured in a car accident and not running
for many years, I decided to start running competitively again. I came
to Sport Dimensions to increase my Speed. They designed a programme
specifically to my needs and allowed me to train around my work commitments.
The sessions were tough and demanding but very enjoyable. It culminated
with me winning the Gold medal at the veteran World Championships in
Brisbane Australia.
Don
Hutchinson, West Ham & Scotland
West Ham sent me down to Sport Dimensions when I was stepping-up
my rehabilitation and they were pretty impressed with the results.
I only spent a couple of weeks on their programme, but it was extremely
beneficial.

Athlete (400m Hurdles)

“The training I do at Sport Dimensions has improved my speed, reactions,
strength and endurance. It has also provided variety in my training
regime and physio treatment whenever I need it. The staff great too
(I’m now one of them!)”
Aki
Rihilahti - Crystal Palace & Finland

I have always liked training hard but too often I didn't
have the right knowledge to get best results out of my work. I experienced
the revolution after some of my highly rated colleagues introduced
me to Sport Dimensions. I found immediately that quality one-to-one
training with sensible and motivation approach helped me dramatically
in the grey areas of my game.
Since then I have regularly based all my
fitness and speed training plus recovering from the injuries to Sport
Dimensions with good results. The wide variety of training methods and
the scientific knowledge behind them has improved me in all the physical
sides of the game and helped me a great deal in my career. I recommend
Sport Dimensions to everyone who wants to get best out of his training
and sport.
Cherno Samba, Millwall
FC
I trained at Sport Dimensions during the summer break
and it did me the world of good. My Speed and strength improved dramatically,
so much so that that all the coaches at Millwall couldn't
believe it when I came back so fit! I would recommend it to any young
player who wants to improve their speed and strength.

“I
thought Frappier was so good I joined the staff!”

Bonnie

Antony Phillips -
Recreational Rugby
I
joined Sport Dimensions after suffering a tear in my abdominal wall,
which led to a long period of inactivity and inevitably a huge increase
in my weight. So much so, that when I returned to health, my rugby club
fitness coach told me I would be put in “Chub Club” and
not allowed to play again until I was back to full fitness. I was given
ten weeks to get myself back into shape and ready for competitive rugby.
Whilst having a full time job, this could have proved very difficult.
Enter, Mr. Mike Antoniades and his outstanding team.
After totally breaking down my running style, or lack of one, I was
put through a strict programme aimed specifically at increasing my speed
and agility and to reduce my body fat percentage from a pork scratching
like 38% to under 20%. I achieved my goals and was back playing inside
6 weeks. I 100% owe this to Mike and the guys.
Since then I have continued my training at sport dimensions and have
had my most successful 7’s season to date and have recently accepted
an offer to go and play in Italy.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Sport Dimensions to anyone. It is
the closest thing you can get to a sure thing! From young athletes looking
to set off on the right foot to those of us trying to squeeze a few
extra years of life out of our playing days…..this is the place
to be.
Mike,
I hope you and your team are all well.
The best news, is that Chris is really enjoying his rugby again, and
he's playing with a smile on his face. Most of this is due to you Mike,
and your excellent coaching abilities, and there is no doubt that
the technique and the re- structuring of his running style has given
him much more pace, acceleration, and with this comes a new found confidence
in his own ability.
Chris is scoring tries again, at a recent Under 16 Sussex County
Trial, he played on the wing! never before has he played there, but
he managed to score from 20 yards out, he wouldn't have done that last
year.
Thanks again, for all you have done.
Regards , Peter Wood

Bowen – Recreational Tennis
I was recommended to Sport Dimensions by a former client who gave a
great endorsement to the treatment they received.
Before going to Sport Dimensions I could not walk down the stairs without
feeling major pain in both of my knees and had to stop playing tennis,
much to my dismay. After my sessions at Sport Dimensions I feel fantastic
and can now run on a treadmill and enjoy it and have decided to take
up running! All the staff were wonderful, and I found their friendly
approach very nice, and really appreciate all the advice I received
during the treatment and advice that they have given me to take away
to avoid further injury.
What is ironic is that I planned on having five sessions but had more
than that, I feel that every penny has been well spent as you get great
value for your money in return.
Donna Goodfelow- Recreational Sport
I promised to e-mail you all my comments on the lovely treatment I
experienced at Sport dimensions... Sorry for the delay, but got caught
up in the chaos of the end of term, then the chaos of the beginning
of the summer holiday etc. Anyway out of sight definitely not out of
mind. I am very pleased to have found a place where there is such an
all round approach to injury; I felt fully involved in a real team effort.
I am so happy with the treatment I received with you all from beginning
to sad end. Kim, who was patient and kind during my reluctance to be
'stuck with pins', gave me back a decent nights sleep, whilst Mike and
the team have inspired me and given me fresh challenges both on the
treadmill and off.
My sessions on your treadmill have completely changed
my feelings about running, which was becoming a dread and no longer
something to enjoy. It was fantastic to learn a technique that has made
so much difference; no headaches, no dizziness, no fear. I run harder
at speeds I thought I'd never go at - not as quick as the fantastic
athletes I shared my sessions with, running up those enormous slopes
with elastics tied to their legs, but I have new goals. I'm not scared
to push now. Most of all, thank you all for making it such fun. I was
sad when my sessions came to an end and will definitely come back for
top up sessions as a treat. Best wishes to all.
Hugo Lynch – Junior Rugby
I came to Sport Dimensions on the very outskirts of fitness; I had
fractured my scapula playing rugby and had spent in excess of six months
without much improvement. My dad was desperately looking for a treatment
to fix my shoulder but had had no luck; this is when I found out about
Sport Dimensions. My dad booked some appointments and I started up and
I went from there. Sport Dimensions gave me back my health and given
me added confidence for next season. I would recommend Sport Dimensions
to anyone who is serious about their fitness or recovering from injury.
Graham
Booth – ‘Bilateral ACL reconstruction? Not
a problem!’
Over 10 years after my failing knees had forced me to give up football,
squash and skiing, I finally had the diagnosis: detached ACLs in both
knees along with cartlege damage. If I was ever again to play
footie with my kids or step confidently down from a stepladder, the
only solution was surgery.
Impressed with Sport Dimensions' approach in a handful of prehab sessions,
I started rehab 3 days after bilateral ACL reconstruction and cartilage
repair at the start of March 2006. There followed 3 sessions a
week at 7am for 12 months. We started with walking backwards on
the bizarre Frappier running machine, enabling me to build leg strength
immediately without pain. But I looked on enviously at the people
I would see on the machine sprinting up 20 degree inclines, dreaming
but not really believing that, in the future, it could be me.
Every session was planned to build my strength, speed and agility progressively,
with members of the team personally coaching me with humour and expertise. Inevitably
I had occasional setbacks as joint and muscle problems stored up during
over a decade of compensating for my knees worked their way out. Each
time, the team at Sport Dimensions were able to get straight onto the
problem with an accurate diagnosis and a tailor-made solution. Over
time, I was not only recovering my knee strength and flexibility but
straightening my body out and building the core strength and balance
important for my future fitness.
Testimony to their efforts was the fact that, 10 months after the op
and for the first time in 15 years, I was back skiing. It was
just half a dozen easy blues, but the knees gave me no problems and
now I knew I could return to a sport I had loved but sadly accepted
I would never do again. A year on from the op and, sure enough,
I am the one sprinting up the inclines on the running machine, feeling
fitter, stronger and more physically together than I have for 20 years.
Julien McGuire
I broke my ankle playing football at the trials for the Premier League
Allstars football tournament on Sky One. However, I was selected
to play for Middlesbrough at the competition and I only had 7½ weeks
before my first game and 4½ of those were spent in plaster. This
meant I only had 3 weeks once the cast was removed in which to recover.
I searched the internet for a specialist sports injury physio and luckily
for me I came across Sport Dimensions. Not only did they have
me jogging after 5 days but they had me ready to take part in the tournament. It
was hard work but I am probably fitter and stronger than I have been
in a long time.
I had the most amazing 5 days of my life as I helped lift the trophy
for Middlesbrough and also scored one of the goals of the tournament. I
could not have achieved this without the expert help and guidance of
all the team at Sport Dimensions. Every member of the team knows
the plan and their enthusiasm is infectious.
I would highly recommend Sport Dimensions to anyone.

Emma Kelso
" I came to Sport Dimensions with an achilles tendon injury, on
the recommendation of a friend. As a keen recreational runner,
the prospect of not being able to get out and enjoy running on
a regular basis was not a pleasant one. Sport Dimensions
took an approach to treating my injury, and subsequent rehabilitation,
that took into account my own personal goal, which was not only to recover
from injury, but to do so in a way that would allow me to return to
running, and to minimise the risk of future problems.
For me, one of the key advantages of Sport Dimensions is
that they go beyond the "usual" approach of simply making
recommendations. Being able to go in and work on your rehab in
the Sport Dimensions gym provides a regular opportunity to make sure
you are doing your exercises properly, and to pick up more and more
tips on how to aid your recovery. Every session is different,
which keeps things fresh, and the staff are very approachable, knowledgeable
and positive. The staff understood how important it was for me
to be able to continue exercising during my treatment and rehabilitation,
and they were full of advice on how I could do so safely. I would
recommend Sports Dimensions to anyone who puts a high priority on their
sport, and for whom simply stopping doing the activity they enjoy is
not a long term solution."

Dear all at Sport Dimensions,
I’d like to let you know (belatedly) how grateful I am for all
the professionalism (yours), perspiration (mine) and pain (mine again)
that went into rehabilitating my knee injury. It was really appreciated.
Thanks again.
