Recreational Runners

What do we do? We teach you how to run and then we teach you how to run faster!  The Running School is an ideal programme for both beginners and long term runners who want to learn how to:

  • Run efficiently and injury free
  • Burn fat and maintain a healthy strong body
  • Become fitter and be able to run for longer

We assess your biomechanics and then provide specific coaching to develop your running technique and strength and advice on training programmes.

The Running School for Kids

The Running School for Kids starts from the age of 8 to 16 and we make it fun! We look at the individual biomechanics (the way they move) and the sport that the child is involved in and we get them running more effectively and running a lot faster.  We have a special running programme for kids which takes into account their age, growth and development, coordination and ability.

Walking and Wellness

What if I can’t run?  If you can’t run then walk! Walking is the next best thing to running.  Walking briskly for almost an hour daily is the key to losing a lot of weight and keeping it off. It is an underrated form of exercise and ideal for getting fit and staying fit if you can’t run or don’t want to run.  Similar to running your walking style is not always as efficient as it could be.  Your technique can be corrected to ensure you are using the correct muscles which can help you loose weight and ease symptoms such as low back pain.

The Elite Programme

One of the greatest concerns among athletes and coaches in all sports is how to improve Speed and Power.  We believe that speed and quickness are skills that can be learnt and developed, not just something you were born with.  Following a biomechanical analysis we use a number of specialised acceleration training techniques and strength and conditioning protocols to stimulate both the muscular and the nervous systems.

In today’s fast paced athletic world you need to develop an edge over your competition. Our unique training protocols are scientifically designed to maximize your potential and reduce your risk of injury, significantly improving your speed, power, agility and overall athletic performance.

Multidirectional Speed

Specific training is required to improve multidirectional speed.  Our training programme develops quick feet and explosiveness, excellent coordination, and the ability to rapidly change direction, all of which are required in sports such as football, rugby, tennis and cricket, to name a few.  We improve your reactive and active speed, your footwork and ability to accelerate and decelerate instantaneously enabling you to get away from your opponent and getting to the target first! This speed training methodology has been tried, tested and proven at all levels of the game.
